In a previous post, I mentioned that the "Sign in with Facebook" login was meeting some resistance amongst our initial beta users.
This was a very surprising result and it went against much of the received wisdom. In fact, another entrepreneur said to me that it was that it was great that Relevenz had this feature. He was then very surprised to learn that many users are reluctant to use this feature.
So we've spent the last while adding in a couple of additional features to Relevenz in case you don't want to use your Facebook credentials on the site:
1. You can now register for an account using your email address.
2. It's also possible to share a plan or event using your friends' email addresses. The plans will then appear in their timeline. This works if you have signed in using the email address or Facebook.
(As an aside, it appears that Facebook has appropriated the word timeline to represent your complete history. I think our version is better: it represents the future!)
3. You can create distribution lists of friends so that you can share some plans with one groups of friends and other plans with other groups.
4. We've also changed the home page to add a simple graphic to help explain what Relevenz is.
In the next post, I'll explain a little more about why we built Relevenz and where we plan to take it over the next while.
In the meantime, keep sharing your plans with your friends and encourage them to share theirs with you to keep on top of what's going to happen in your social life.
